How to reach us

The campus of the University is situated in the south of the city of Bayreuth.

You will find us in building Naturwissenschaften II (NW II), ground floor (section of the building with green doors and windows). campus map.

 If you travel by car

leave motorway A9 (Nürnberg-Berlin) at exit 42 Bayreuth Süd and follow the signs "Universität".

If you travel by train

Trains arrive at Bayreuth main station 'Hauptbahnhof Bayreuth'.

In front of the station there are bus stops and a taxi stand.

All bus connections pass via the central bus stop "Bayreuth ZOH (Zentrale Omnibus Haltestelle)" At ZOH change to line 304 (Birken-Universität) or 306 (Campus-Hohlmühle). Please find bus stops (H) on the campus here.

If you travel by plane

The nearest airports are Nuremberg, Munich, Frankfurt. The railroad system provides regular connections to Bayreuth. Find a connecting train here: Time tables Deutsche Bahn.
